Meri Environmental Solutions GmbH sponsors Football Club TSV Steinhöring
Meri Environmental Solutions GmbH, located in Munich,
supports both junior teams and the senior team
of TSV Steinhöring by providing a complete
set of new uniforms.
The outstanding youth work of
TSV Steinhöring
in both sports and social issues was the determining
factor for the Management Team of Meri to sponsor
this club.
The club was founded in 1950 to address the
task of giving the youth of the region a base
for sports and social contacts. “It is
really important for us to give the teenagers
and kids a chance to be active and to be outside
as well. That provides a perfect balance to everyday
school life and keeps the kids off the streets”,
says Barbara Sprenger-Lochner, president of TSV
Steinhöring. And its success proves that
she is right − the juniors have ended every
season since their founding as second or third
in the league. “Some of the kids are watched
by talent scouts of the Bavarian Football Association,” informed
the coach of the juniors, Werner Franke. In addition
to the workout on the field, the kids also receive
a coaching in social responsibilities by every
adult in the club.
Besides the junior league, the seniors of the
TSV Steinhöring are also wearing the Meri
colors. In the 2004/2005 season, the seniors
of the TSV Steinhöring Football Club were
promoted to an advanced league in their region.
The aim is not only to be competitive in this
league but to finish the season in the midfield.
The club has 786 members, 350 of them are active
members. “We try to create a very familiar
atmosphere in our club; this is just as important
as being successful in our sport. Our members
should feel well joining our training and social
activities, and we will do our very best to keep
it this way. We are always trying to make progress
in our performance − on and off the field.
Meri helped us a lot with the new uniforms, the
kids look like a real team in them. We really
would like to thank Meri for their support”,
said the president.
Meri Environmental Solutions GmbH is looking forward

Steinhöring successful 2005/2006 season.
